We are proud to deliver groceries to all APO and FPO addresses. We deliver via the USPS Priority Mail and delivery includes full insurance at no additional cost.

Diplomatic Pouch Grocery Delivery

There are strict regulations in place for groceries being delivered via the pouch service (DPO) so please familiarize yourself with these guidelines before placing an order. DPO orders are delivered via UPS Ground.

Seeking a Grocery Item? How to utilize our online search feature ...

Purchasing groceries online at ShopFoodEx is effortless with our search feature!

You can locate a grocery item by either browsing the Grocery Aisles similar to a regular grocery store or you can utilize our search feature located above the Aisles.

When using the Search, you will notice that as soon as it begins to find matches, it will suggest terms to you.  

It is advisable to be as specific as possible. For example, when searching for candy, instead of simply entering "candy", you would start typing the name of the specific candy you wish to purchase.

If you see the desired item in our suggestion list, just click on it.  If not, then simply press the enter key on your keyboard or click the search icon to obtain the full search results.  

Once you obtain the search results, you can search within the search results to narrow down the selection or initiate a new search.

If you are unable to find the grocery item you are looking for, then contact us!

Creating an online grocery list utilizing our Shopping List feature...no paper required!

Purchasing groceries online at ShopFoodEx is quick with a list!

If you wish to create a grocery list when you purchase online at ShopFoodEx, all you need to do is find each grocery item and then click the Add to Shopping List link. 

Any time you want to view what is on your list, simply click on the Shopping List in the top navigation bar.

When viewing your Shopping List, you can choose which items to add or remove from your cart by simply checking the box. 

Just remember, if you want to save your Shopping List between visits, you need to be logged in to your account so we know to whom it belongs! 

And if that was not easy enough, you can also add all the items in your grocery order to your Shopping List at the end of checkout.

If only shopping for groceries was consistently that simple!

Managing Your Online Grocery Cart

Purchasing groceries online at ShopFoodEx is fast without wheels!

Found the grocery item you want to purchase?  It is as effortless as clicking the Buy Now button to add it to your shopping cart.  Another click and you've added another one.  Want more?  Then simply click on the + icon until you reach your desired quantity and then add them all with one click of the Buy Now button. 

Uncertain of the cart's contents? Just hover over it and you can see.

Wish to make adjustments? Click the Your Cart link (top right of the website) and you will see the full contents of your cart displayed.  Here you can modify quantities or remove items. When you are finished, you can continue shopping online for your groceries or proceed to checkout.

Where else can you navigate a shopping cart with one hand?

Same again? Then simply order The Usual ...

Purchasing groceries online at ShopFoodEx is easy with re-ordering!

When you complete your order and proceed to checkout, you can tag your grocery order as the "Usual".

The "Set as Usual" option is particularly useful if you always purchase the same items repeatedly.  

Once you have a "Usual", you can simply click the Re-Order link on your next visit, log in, and find your groceries already in your cart.  You can then proceed to checkout or adjust quantities or continue shopping and add other grocery items to your cart.

And once you checkout, you can make this new order your new "Usual"!

There is no limit to how typical you want to be!

Checking out ... the importance of accurate addresses

Purchasing groceries online at ShopFoodEx is flexible!

You can order your groceries online from your computer and have them shipped anywhere!  You can have one address for billing and another for delivery.  You can even change where you ship to from order to order...to the office, to your home, to any place in the country!

To proceed to checkout and review your order, click on the Review Order and Checkout button.  There, you will have the opportunity to view all the items in your cart and make any necessary changes to your order. 

First, ensure that your shipping details are accurate. An incorrect shipping address can cause delays in your order.

Second, select your Payment Method and verify that you have entered your billing information correctly. An incorrect billing address may result in your credit card being declined during final processing.

Third, review the entire order before placing it. If you are satisfied with the details of your order, click the Confirm Order button to complete your purchase.

If you are paying through PayPal, remember to return to the site to set up your Usual order or add the items to your Quick List!

Grocery Item Substitutions ... You say tom-ate-o and I say tom-ah-toe

When you purchase groceries online at ShopFoodEx, we do not substitute items unless authorized by you.

Substituting a grocery item means replacing it with a similar item that we choose for you.

We provide you with the option to allow substitutions for individual grocery items:

  • If you WANT us to substitute a grocery item that may be out of stock, simply check the substitution box for that specific item.
     
  • If you DO NOT WANT us to substitute a grocery item, simply leave the substitution box unchecked, and if the item is out of stock, we will remove it from your online grocery order.

Logical substitutions are followed. A can of diced tomatoes for a can of diced tomatoes ...

Bottom line?  Just leave that substitution box unchecked if you don't want a substitution and check it if you do! 

You ordered your groceries online, so where are they?

You can purchase groceries online from ShopFoodEx and have them delivered to virtually any location!

Orders are shipped from our warehouse in Roanoke, Virginia and typically leave within 2-4 business days. Once an order departs from our warehouse, it takes approximately 2-8 business days for the delivery to arrive. An automated email with your tracking information will be sent once your order has been shipped. No signature is required for delivery. The carrier will leave your package at their discretion if they deem it safe to do so.

How is my order being shipped?

USPS Delivery

Orders weighing less than 10 pounds are commonly shipped via USPS Priority Mail, USPS Ground Advantage, or by UPS SurePost (*) at our discretion. Please allow 2-8 business days for delivery.

(*) SurePost packages are collected and routed via UPS but the final delivery is made by the USPS (your mail carrier).

UPS Delivery

Orders weighing over 10 pounds are typically delivered via UPS Ground Service and can take from 1-5 business days to arrive.

Military Delivery

The USPS states that it can take up to 45 days for an order to reach an APO/FPO address. However, based on customer feedback, APO AE and APO AA orders usually arrive within 7-14 days. However, orders shipped to APO AP (Pacific) addresses have been known to take significantly longer to arrive.

We'll provide you with a Tracking Number once it is shipped!

Got the wrong grocery item? Here's what to do...

You can purchase your groceries online with "peace of mind" at ShopFoodEx.

If we have delivered an incorrect grocery item, please inform us.

You can email us at customerservice@shopfoodex.com or call our customer service number at 1-540-354-1565 for instructions on what to do in this unlikely scenario.

We will rectify the issue by either delivering the correct grocery item or issuing a refund if it is not available.

We cannot issue refunds for opened grocery items. So please refrain from opening them!
