Rubirosa – New York, NY

Despite the crowded dining room, our server was attentive and friendly. Even though it seemed like he was managing a lot of tables, he made sure our experience was smooth. He was quick to clear plates in a timely manner, ensuring we had plenty of space for the next round of food, which really added to the flow of the meal.

The wine list is well-curated and reasonably priced, which was a nice surprise. It complemented the meal perfectly without breaking the bank. As for the charcuterie board, it was pretty standard, but the cheese selection really stood out--rich, flavorful, and thoughtfully chosen.

The Rubirosa Ragu was pretty good, though not particularly different from what you might find elsewhere. That said, the real star of the menu is the pizza. I love that they offer half-and-half pizzas, allowing you to try multiple varieties in one sitting. The Rubirosa Supreme was absolutely fantastic--loaded with toppings and bursting with flavor. The Tie Dye pizza, while decent, didn't quite match up to the Supreme, though the pesto on it was delicious and added a nice twist.

Overall, Rubirosa is a great spot for a relaxed meal with fantastic pizza and wine. The food, combined with the charming (if slightly warm) atmosphere, and our attentive server, makes it well worth a visit--even if you have to squeeze into the cozy space!
