Kennesaw may be one of the metropolitan Atlanta area’s most picturesque neighborhoods as well as the home to Kennesaw State University. It’s situated at the base of beautiful Kennesaw mountain and has small farms and ranches nestled adjacent to sprawling suburbs. From chef-driven restaurants to family-owned establishments to the favorites you know and cherish, there are numerous excellent options when you’re dining in Kennesaw. We’re presenting a few below with our Kennesaw dining guide!

For almost two decades, Capers has built a reputation for cultivating regulars who keep coming back for more. They focus on fresh seafood and a New American menu, but their approach is anything but pretentious. Led by a married couple, the restaurant has a pleasant family-friendly ambiance and is a great place to celebrate a romantic evening or enjoy dinner with the kids. It’s also just a short distance away from Kennesaw State University!

You might assume that a place centered on top-notch cigars wouldn’t have the enthusiasm to prioritize exceptional dishes, but you would be mistaken. At Cigar Cellar, the dishes hold as much importance as their top-quality stogies. They offer outstanding small plates such as charcuterie, crab dip, bacon-wrapped dates, truffle fries, and more. If you're seeking something heartier, give the Bison Short Rib and gnocchi or the Bistro Steak a try. And, of course, they boast a wide selection of "smoked" cocktails.

This sandwich shop, highly popular in the mid-Atlantic region, has only one location in Atlanta - right in Kennesaw. With a focus on fresh deli-style sandwiches and freshly baked bread, they go all out with their sandwiches, including the Bobbie - turkey, cranberry sauce, and delectable stuffing in one sandwich, available all year round. It’s also conveniently close to Kennesaw State University (KSU), making it fantastic for hungry college students.

Kennesaw truly deserves exceptional Italian cuisine, and Crispina definitely delivers. Thanks to imported Italian pizza ovens and ingredients, along with fresh pastas and desserts, locals don't have to search far to find a world-class dinner. Chef Raffaele Crispino is committed to delivering authenticity and Southern Italian flavors in every dish, and it clearly shows at Crispina. It's ideal for a family dinner or a romantic date night, and it's conveniently located near Kennesaw State University as well.

This restaurant, run by a married couple, focuses on skillfully recreating the beloved Southern classics we all grew up with. But of course, with a name like Rotisserie Shop, you know it all starts with the chicken - and they make it extraordinary. Slow-cooked and brined overnight, their chickens are exquisite - but if that's not what you're craving, there are plenty of other delicious options on the menu, such as pork poutine, shrimp and grits, and more.

This popular and rapidly expanding restaurant chain takes the regional approach of a Cajun seafood bag boil and brings it to the masses. With some of the most flavorful crab legs you've ever tasted, you absolutely must try the boils, along with their fresh fried seafood and more.

Many people are familiar with Big Pie in the Sky because of their Carnivore Challenge - where two people must devour an 11lb pizza in under an hour. But they offer more than just gimmicks. Their pizzas are delicious, with a crispy crust, fresh ingredients, and a well-seasoned red sauce. Visit on a weekend to see if you can witness a Kennesaw State student attempting the challenge, and then give one of their specialty pies a try, like the West Coast Pesto or the Big Kahuna (for those who adore pineapple on pizza).

Popeye's founder Al Copeland was content with having a successful chicken chain, but he also wanted to share the flavors of New Orleans with the masses, beyond just chicken. That's where Copeland's began - as his attempt to recreate the best dishes from one of the greatest food cities in the country and bring them to your neighborhood. Kennesaw's location is one of the finest Copeland's establishments in the country, emphasizing fresh food and excellent Cajun cuisine.

This local Atlanta chain may be renowned for its vibrant nightlife, but don't overlook their menu - they have an impressive kitchen. We particularly love their appetizers - the buffalo chicken nachos are a fantastic way to satisfy your hunger before enjoying a few drinks with friends. The extensive taco selection may seem overwhelming, but every choice on there is exceptional. And don't miss out on their skillets!

There's a reason why families look for consistency and a menu that pleases everyone. Have you ever tried dining with kids at a high-end restaurant?! That's why Marlow's always hits the mark - with its lively atmosphere, TVs everywhere, and a menu offering multiple options, no one in your group will be disappointed.
